A few more words on

Maxima collection

Abstract curves

The “Maxima” collection consists of parts of tree trunks or large branches carefully selected, processed (sanding, polishing) and curved by Xarilaos.

Their forms are minimalistic and sometimes abstract. Their sight stimulates the imagination, reduces anxiety and calms the spirit. This collection’s artifacts are sometimes combined in pairs (yin & yang).
The large white pebbles play a decisive role either “carrying” the woods or being “carried” by them.

Most of them have been collected from sea streams and have undergone double processing both by the flow of fresh water and the perpetual motion of the salt wave.

pairing contradictions

“Nature’s intensities and contradictions have always been deeply moving, to my eyes.

I find the way the wood complements the pebble particularly charming, even though they are such different and contradictory materials.”
